The Pity of War, Shropshire Remembers

17 August 2016

The film below tells of the many activities that have happened in Shropshire over the last couple of years to commemorate the 100th anniversary of World War 1.

Many of our students and staff were priviledged to be part of many of the activities from hosting German and French students for a week to work on an art project with Carl Jaycock, to performing in the Shrewsbury Bookfest Remembers concert including an outstanding reading by student Oliver Turner. We were also very pleased to host several of the Bookfest lectures including Kate Adie who was in Shrewsbury to promote her book 'Fighting on the home front'.
