- organise College charity events
“Shrewsbury Sixth Form College is nationally recognised as being a leading provider of teaching and learning for 16-19 students. As well as being highly academic and constructive, student life is typically very exciting and socially superb.
There are many extra curricular activities which students may choose to partake in such as the Amnesty International group, Duke of Edinburgh award and a whole range of sports teams that meet weekly. The Student Council is very active in raising the voice of student opinion and takes a respected position in decision making. As well as this, thousands of pounds are raised for different charities every year through numerous events that are enjoyed by all.
Student life is further enriched by the great amenities that lay on the doorstep of the College. With a great number of restaurants and cafés students may enjoy any free time they have to the fullest. Shrewsbury Sixth Form students also take full advantage of the Quarry – the idyllic 29 acre riverside park that can be found within a minute’s walk from College.
Through both an encouraging learning environment and a highly social atmosphere Shrewsbury Sixth Form College assists students across the bridge between school and work or higher education and equips them extremely well for any path they may choose to take in life.”
