- Who is it for?
The programme is designed to give candidates a thorough knowledge of plumbing practical and theory. It is aimed at individuals who wish to take the first steps towards a Technical Certificate in plumbing. Progress to apprenticeship or NVQ dependent upon employment status or, progress to a Level 3 Technical Certificate.
- Entry Requirements
GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or above, along with a practical and logical outlook would be a distinct advantage. In addition all candidates will be expected to pass lead body initial assessment at 60%.

- Electrical safety
- Common plumbing processes
- Scientific principles
- Communication
- How is the course assessed?
There are 9 externally set City and Guilds assessments (one on each of the topics above). Candidates will also undertake continually monitored practical assessments, culminating in two final practical assessments: bathroom installation and airing cupboard installation.
