- How much does it cost?
It is an expectation of professional practice to wear a uniform whilst in salon sessions. It is advisable to purchase a kit to allow you to practise skills out of College. Order forms are available from the tutor during your pre-enrolment discussion.
- Who is it for?
This course may be eligible for an Advanced Learning Loan. This is a professional qualification course training in Full Body Massage Techniques. Candidates successfully completing this award can continue training with Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Sports Massage. Professional insurance and membership is available on gaining the qualification.
- Entry Requirements
Applicants should have the academic ability to understand anatomy and physiology and the physical ability to massage. They must have an informal discussion with the tutor prior to enrolment.
- What does the course involve?
Health and Safety; Theory of Massage; Practical Massage Techniques; Related Anatomy & Physiology; Health and Hygiene; Consultation Skills and client care; Contra-Indications.
- How is the course assessed?
Through continual assessment in practical, oral and written areas along with assignment and case study work at home. External end tests are also performed in Body Massage and Anatomy & Physiology.
