What will I study?
Drama and Theatre is a practical, engaging and creative course. You will examine the
work of drama practitioners, explore a range of drama as a practical art form, and work independently to create your own drama performances.
As well as studying drama and theatre in an academic setting, you will be given a
thorough grounding into the basics of performing and experience the innovative
styles of playwrights, directors, actors, and companies.
Through this course, we would like to ignite and engage your creativity, passion
and interests in this art form. We will also give you the freedom to experiment and
take risks with your work whilst developing your own style.
Where does it lead?
Higher/Continuing Education: Typically over 80% progress to higher education of whom 75% choose degree courses related to the Performing Arts including to Russell Group and Sutton Trust universities. This course is an excellent step towards a career in the performance industry, of course, but it also shows that a student is confident, self-disciplined, and can work within a team. These are qualities that are highly sought after by universities and employers alike. Previous students are working as professional performers.
