Students, not happy with your result?
Post Results Services for Summer 2025
If you are unhappy with your summer exam results and would like to do something about it you can choose to pay for one of the following options relating to exam units sat in this season only. For Linear courses these services are for individual paper results which form part of your overall grade.
Option 1
Contact the University If you are applying to university, contact them immediately as they may still be able to offer you a place.
Option 2
Priority Remark (GCE only) (usually for those whose grade is essential for a university place) If you feel that your script was wrongly marked, you will need to apply for a Priority Remark, so that the paper can be remarked, and the result returned to you within 18 calendar days. You will get a copy of the remarked script included.
Deadline: Thursday 21 August 2025 by 3pm.
Option 3
Priority Photocopy (GCE only). (For those who want to consider whether it is worth applying for a Review of Marking.) If you request a Priority Photocopy of your script, the boards will attempt to send the photocopy before the deadline for Non-Priority Remarks. This gives you a chance to discuss the content with your teacher and decide if it is worth applying for a remark. The earlier you apply the sooner you will receive it. Deadline: Thursday 28 August 2025 by 3pm.
Option 4
Non-Priority Review of Marking Following discussion with your teacher, if you feel that your script was wrongly marked, you can apply for a Non-Priority Remark. You can also request for your original script back at the same time for an additional cost. The scripts are sent to another examiner for remarking. The Awarding Bodies aim to complete these within 30 days of the application. If your unit grade (not just the mark) is changed, you may be refunded the cost. Deadline: Thursday 25 September 2025 by 3pm.
Option 5
Clerical Recheck Following a discussion with your teacher and having seen your script and you feel that there was a clerical error (i.e.: not all marks were added up), then you can request this service. The Awarding Bodies aim to complete these within 20 days of the application. If your unit grade (not just the mark) is changed, you may be refunded the cost. Deadline: Thursday 25 September 2025 by 3pm.
Option 6
Original Script request If you decide that you would rather do a resit at the next opportunity and that you would like to view your script to see how you could improve, then you may want to apply for an Original Script request. The Awarding Bodies will return the scripts after all Enquiries about Results have been completed. Please note that these may not necessarily come back in time for your revision or your exam. NB: Please note that a script cannot be requested after a Review of Marking has been made for that paper. Deadline: Thursday 25 September 2025 by 3pm.
