Travel & Tourism students support Children with Cancer UK charity

3 February 2016

A small group of A2 Travel and Tourism students, Ivayla Ivanova, Bryony Martin, Lizzie Pritchard and Elle Pugh organised a day trip to Liverpool as part of their Unit 8 Coursework.

The trip was aimed at staff and parents, and the students decided to raise money and donate all of the trip’s profit to the charity Children with Cancer UK. They made this decision after finding out that Ugne Valuntukeviciute’s 3 year old sister Maja had been diagnosed with Leukaemia. Ugne is an AS Travel and Tourism student at the college. The group chose this charity because it has helped Maja and her family through this tough experience. They raised £220 through ticket sales and a raffle.
