Medal success for Ffion

Ffion Butler, pictured above with Jordan Margery (left) and Olivia May Cameron (right) has recently had great success at the Swim Wales Open Short Course Championships in Swansea.

Entering three events, Ffion achieved a personal best and Bronze medal in 100m backstroke (ex-student Gemma Almond won silver); another personal best and Gold medal in 200m freestyle and she took Gold in the 100m freestyle. In all three events she was Welsh Champion and as such was presented with a special award.

Ffion is not new to medal winning having achieved three bronze medals on one silver in the British Gas Disability Open Short Course swimming championships in Manchester.  

Coming to SSFC from Newtown High School, Ffion is in her first year and is studying Biology, Chemistry, Geology and Geography
