Cultural and curriculum experience in New York

25 July 2017

31 students from Film and Media Studies, Drama & Theatre Studies, Photography and Music recently visited New York City for a cultural and curriculum experience extraordinaire.

With four very full days, students experienced NYC with its 100°F heat, visiting the International Center of Photography, Museum of Modern Art, Threshold Recording Studios, NBC studios, New York Film Academy, Coney Island and even receiving tuition in stage combat. Getting around the city by foot and occasional subway was a great way to see the iconic New York sites such as Times Square and Brooklyn Bridge, as well as seeing Book of Mormon on Broadway

Staff and students also visited the World Trade Center memorial pools, poignantly remembering ex-SSFC music student Andrew Berkley who lost his life on that tragic day.

Thanks to all those who made the trip possible and such a varied experience.
