Outstanding results for GCSEs

25 August 2016

Students at Shrewsbury Sixth Form College who have continued to work towards GCSE Maths and English today received their results.

Overall the results are excellent especially in English where 87% of students were able to gain a grade C or better. These results are well above the national benchmark and are a tribute to the hard work of the students and everyone who taught and supported them. Paul Morgan, Interim Head of Shrewsbury Sixth Form College, said “We are delighted with the success of our students.  We have continued to improve our pass rates at the college despite a downturn in national pass rates.

Students who have not attained a C grade in Maths and/or English are required to continue studying them alongside their other courses.
