What will I study?

If you are excited by some of the many aspects of textile design and have an interest in colour, pattern, shape, form, texture and decoration then this A level course at SSFC will provide an excellent structure from which you can explore and develop your enthusiasm and enjoyment of textiles through art craft and design.

You will be inspired by visits to exhibitions and museums, learn how to develop ideas and apply techniques and processes to develop outcomes that may include fashion design, fashion textiles, costume design, digital textiles, printed and constructed textiles, domestic textiles, interior design, art textiles and installed textiles.

Where does it lead?

Higher/Continuing Education:

Many students go on to study Art and Design and Fashion and Textiles.

An Art Foundation course is sometimes the preferred route of entry before Higher Education although some students gain direct entry onto Higher education courses including, fashion and textile design, fashion promotion and marketing, costume and theatre design and interior design.
