Art & Design Foundation Diploma
Level 3/4 UAL Foundation Diploma in Art & Design.
Course Length: 1 year.
You will need A Levels (including Art & Design) or a Level 3 Diploma in Art & Design and a portfolio of work. Aged over 18 and have a 4 (grade C) or above in maths and English. Relevant experience will be considered for students aged 21+.
What will I study?
You will gain insight into different art and design disciplines improving knowledge, practical skills, ideas and critical judgement in preparation for further study at degree level. Part one focuses on experimental work and developing skills; Part two will enable you to develop your confidence, independence and ability within your chosen area; Part three is a personally directed project externally assessed. Your final project will be included in the end of year Art School Show, open to the public. Each year students enjoy a residential ‘contextual studies’ visit to Paris.

To develop a career you will generally need to study further at university and maintain a portfolio of practice.
