- C (5) grade or above in Maths and C (4) grade or above in English Language
- C grade or above in Core and Additional Science or
- Pass in BTEC Level 2 Applied Science

What will I study?
This course is for people with a strong interest in Science who wish to follow a science based career.
There are plenty of opportunities to conduct more in-depth practical work and time to complete your own research learning methods include completing assignments, case studies and projects which are based on realistic workplace situations.
You will learn about the demands and legislation which exist in the science workplace as well as developing a wide range of scientific and transferable skills in preparation for a career or higher level study.
Where does it lead?
Higher Education: A BTEC develops learners’ skills and understanding of work within a vocational context and offers direct progression on to BTEC Higher National programmes,
Foundation Degree Programmes and First Degree Programmes. BTEC Nationals are recognised by higher education institutions and attract UCAS points.
Employment: Any employment sector that relies on sound scientific knowledge and skills and knowledge of working within the science industry.
